Default Evo Dyna - 65t pulley?

Seriously contemplating a 65 tooth rear pulley in place of the 70 tooth on my '98 Dyna. If I'm thinking correctly, this would move the axle approx 1" or 1.25" to the rear and change the mph by about 7-8%?

true on the mph. but you go smaller you will not have the takeoff or the torque your used too. the speedo will show slower....

Rather than mess with the rear pulley and dealing with belt issues, on my bike I swapped the FRONT pulley from the stock 32, to a 34. Pretty much the same results, only you barely have to move the rear wheel. I only had to slide it a touch forward, and the stock belt was perfect, and the RPM drop was very welcome. AND, the best thing was it fixed that horrible 4th-5th gear problem when riding the ever common 55 mph back roads. I was ALWAYS in the wrong gear on back roads. Speed up just a tad, bang fifth. Slow down just a touch, back to forth. With the gear swap, I could run high 40's to about 60, and never need anything but forth gear. That alone was worth the cost of the pulley.

Lept before I looked, bought a 65t because of the lack of custom 70t pulleys so I'm in it to the finish line. Just wondering what to expect.
Got a pulley I really like but not carved in stone, might pick a different one before all said and done.

thanks,
