At 76 I ride a 13 Street Bob with a 120R, 14 LR, 15 Fat Bob and a 16 LRS.
At 210 and 6'3" with stock seats and controls I fit them all comfortable and have done 2K rides to Sturgis on the Street Bob.
All are firm but not remotely harsh. I wouldn't change a thing with the suspensions.
The 10 Superglide that I had and the Street Bob are/was smooth at highway speeds but the LR's and Fat Bob shake badly. Hard to see in the mirrors. I have checked the rubber mounting specs and the upper control arm and can find nothing to improve the highway speed vibrations.
Had the tech check them out. He said they seemed like any Dyna ride to him.
Friend, those bikes are the nicest ones I've seen on HDF my entire time here. Sorry for the thread jack. When somebody takes something and makes it that nice, I have to tip my hat.
Those are some really cool bikes....No Hijack problem here they along with
the "older" guys (73 and 76 etc., are the real reason for this thread.) I really wanted to see how old is too old - obviously I'm along with all the other guys are getting "there" but we've got a lot of time left.
