A warning light has been coming on while riding my 2015 wide glide. Runs normal, acts fine....when running in 6th for awhile (10 min or so) the security system light comes on. As soon as I back off the throttle the light goes out...comes back on later. My bike has no security system on it. The owners manual only speaks for bikes with a security system and then just instructs you to go to the dealer. I did change the battery a few months ago but this just started happening. Yes I did check my battery connections for tightness. Aside from that I have ViEDs installed but those have been on for a year with no issues. Any suggestions?

 

Keep your eyes on the road and take in for some warranty work. That's my suggestion.

 

My money is on "Front Brake Switch Stuck"

 

Mine does it and the code says front brake light switch. If I push the brake lever forward it goes out.

 

This. Spray some contact cleaner around the master cylinder piston, give it a blast with compressed air and you're good to go.

 

Is the bike throwing codes? Red light says there's badness. usually when theres badness, a code gets stored
