Default ignition module

I am looking at a Dynatek TC88 for my '03 Superglide. Anybody out there have experience with this item? It's cheaper than an OEM. Just wondering if they're difficult to set. I'm not looking to race or anything.

I personally like the Ultama #53-644 -- $125 on ebay

Right now I've got the old Screamin' Eagle ignition module, but have an ignition upgrade in the plans for next year...probably.... I've been leaning toward a Thunderheart, but that sounds like more than you want.

I haven't looked too hard at them, but I believe most of the basic ignition modules are either OE clones or have very basic timing and/or rev limiter adjustments. Shouldn't be hard to setup at all.

I'm coming from a carburetor perspective, so I don't know how/if these modules control fuel....

If you are carbed, can't beat the S&S IST module. Has a knock sensor and self programs; S&S quality. Have used two now in '01 Twin Cams and wouldn't consider anything else...
