Default ignition upgrade

hi folks my 92 fxr it still running the original ignition i have been looking at upgrading and have been offered the screamin eagle ignition (8000 rpm module ) for just under $100, is it worth it or am i better saving a little more and buying something else the bike has the ev46 cam in it and runs out of revs real fast with the standard module

cheers

Your better off getting a Dynatek ignition.
Which model is what you really want to think about.
A 2000p is a plug and play that simply replaces your ignition module and a 2000i replaces the module and the cam sensor in one.

+1 here - had them on an Evo and a carbed 2004 TC. Far superior and their customer service will answer any questions you have
about setup.

I think it was in 85. What is the part number on your Screamin Eagle ignition module? Does it have selectable ignition curves? If not I would look into the Dynatek units..

It would have to be mid to late 90s for cam censors perhaps latter.

I bought my 85 FXWG new. It has no cam sensor, or crank sensor.

Maybe it depends on the model......
Here's a link from Ronnies....
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel.asp?Type=13&make=hdmc&a=57&b=11&c=0&d=19 85%20FXRS%20Low%20Glide%20(EB)%20ELECTRICAL%20-%20IGNITION%20MODULE%20W/%20COIL%20ASSEMBLY
Clearily indicates a CPS with an electronic ignition module....

Why do some always have to prove otherwise??? It's not a challenge to someones Knowledge, it's called helping another...
