i've always believed these to be snake oil, but never really paid that much attention to them. i think they claim they last forever (which is along time ). drop them back in, can't hurt.
i know the one thing that they did was to remove some money from someones pockets.

I can't speak to effectiveness of these things as power-adders, but this bike sat for several years before I bought it and I've since rebuilt the entire fuel system and not found a single issue pointing to varnish/gelling/contamination/rust/etc. FWIW, it didn't NEED rebuilt, I just wanted to do it.

I don't know if I'd buy them, but I'll put them back in. At the very least they seem to help with off-season storage. In NW Ohio, that's nothing to sniff at.
