Try HD Formula +. I believe all 110`s have Syn 3 in all holes but not certain.
yes, from the factory it has syn 3 in all 3. When I first got my lrs, I asked my parts guy and was told I could switch to formula, but I ride year round and felt synthetic would best suit my needs.
Hello gentlemen.
I have changed oil to Formula plus and was significantly better. I have found three steel chipd on the drain plug, so going to dealer to check.
The HD primary chain auto tensioner is notorious for over tightening the chain. It's designed to only tighten and does not allow slack in the chain. I have used Mobil1 V-Twin oil in the primary with no problems in with the Hayden tensioner. This oil is 20W-50. A heavier oil will be a little harder on the clutch soaked on a cold morning with heavy oil. Ask the dealer to put the SYN 3 back in if that's what you want. A lot of people are happy with that Formula + primary oil from HD, your call.

not sure about all tensioners but when changing primary lube one can poke a screwdriver on the upper section of chain thru the derby cover, mine seems to have about 1/2" movement up and down, seems about right.
