Hey guys,
Sorry as I know there are threads containing a bunch of fairing info. But I've spent the last week looking through threads on on websites and contacting brands about the FXDLS and there is sooooo much conflicting info. Even JP Cycles told me I need to call Memphis Shades because they don't know with certainty which of their fairings will work on the Low Rider S not just the Low Rider. Can anyone help me out with what fairing options I have on The FXDLS? Looking for a little extra 75+ mph wind protection while keeping some of those great looks on the bike. Thank you!
I had a Memphis Shades Rio Grande Windshield on my LRS, and it fit fine.
The only confusion may be because of the way the head light mounts. It does not use the Low Rider top or brow mount light. It is the same as a Street Bob headlight.
I would guess any fairing that fits a Street Bob will work on the LRS.

There are more of us that have changed it, than have left it alone. HD 1/4 here. There are tons of threads on S fairing changes. You can search them out, and read for days.

Yeah man that's what I have been so confused about. A lot of the fairings you guys have put on say they don't fit from the manufacturer. For instance, Harley told me the HD 1/4 doesn't fit on the FXDLS. I was trying to figure out if you guys are customizing the fairings to fit on the FXDLS or if they fit properly without any additional modifications. (I know I might need to move the headlight bracket but I don't have the know-how to drill new holes and really customize it properly like some of you) Thank you all so much for the help.

Most fairings for a late model Street Bob will work. But not for the Low Rider (non S) due to the different headlight. Only thing to watch out for is clearance for the turn signals since the Bob's is up higher. I have the Memphis Shades Gauntlet and I bought for a 16 Street Bob. The Factory HD Quarter Fairing doesn't work without the aftermarket Bungking mounting bracket.

Good luck.
Man I was actually specifically told by Memphis Shades customer service that the Gauntlet fairing wouldn't work on the FXDLS. That is the fairing I would like specifically. So I can order a Memphis Shades Gauntlet fairing for a 2016 Street Bob and put it on my 2017 FXDLS? Sorry, **** does get confusing.
