Getting ready to swap out stock rear shocks on my '16 Street Bob. Putting on Progressive 444s.
Anybody swapping out rear shocks, did you keep the upper shock covers (see pic)? To use them again I would want to get them powder coated since I'm putting on black shocks. Anyone use any other options?

The cover's slit will need to be widen to fit over the 444s - (file / dremel / bench grinder / similar)
Then they can be PCd..., or..., I used krylon gloss black - can't tell the difference
If you paint them - the chrome will need to be scuffed up..., or preferably sanded off
Didn't know I'd have to widen them for the 444s, good gouge. Trying to figure out if I even want them back on. Leaning towards no, but don't want to regret it later.
Damn you Nemo guy! Always rockin the cool ****! Lol!
Ha!!! Thanks, but you have no room to talk, You built the coolest Fat Bob on the planet, I can spend hours just staring at the pictures, a beautiful motorcycle.
