I just mark 12 o clock on both bolts and count the amount of turns they come out (they should be the same) then put them back in the same way and check belt deflection. Very easy. Otherwise you can simply rotate each one one full turn at a time until the belt gets tight, then check/adjust deflection. It's very easy.

Dyna owner must have's; do it right, that rear wheel alignment is critical to the correct handling of the Dyna

you can make an alignment tool with a coat hanger and a valve stem cap. Free and works just as good.

Add the V-Twin mfg or Jim's axle plugs too. I'd rather use a coat hanger and those than the Motion Pro tool with tape or something and it's about the same cost as the V-Twin plugs. Who am I kidding, I have all 3 because I'm a tool ***** too

Mine is a piece of brazing rod, with a tie-wrap on tight, but can slide....

and it is a tool... and works just as well as any other over priced piece of wire made by someone else.

I've had my wheel off several times, and my little brazing rod lines it back up just fine...

Knowing how much deflection a 10lb weight will give your belt, and adjusting to that deflection...without a tool.

yes, tools are good... and the right tool makes a tough, complex job much easier... removing/installing a rear wheel is neither tough, nor complex.

Grease the axle so it comes out easy again. Made that mitqke has to use a slide hammer to get it out. Then put in the other way when went to a 180 nightdragon in the rear.
