I'm thinking about putting black levers on my 16 Fat Bob. Looking around I see HD has them at $100, Kuryakyn, Drag Specialties, Roland Sands all topping $150. Then I see some cheap J&P Cycle & fleabay for cheap ($30).
Sooooo Any suggestions? Any real differences in fit & quality? Go cheap, spend the cash, powder coat my current ones? What to do?
I had bought some cheap ones, can't remember which but maybe joker machine... at any rate just be careful that some of the cheap ones don't have the bump on the clutch allowing you to start with clutch pulled in regardless of gear. Not a big deal but in my case I can only start my bike in neutral whereas in the past I would sometimes be in first with clutch pulled in. No go on some of the cheapies.
I'm not sure about fitment. I think all Dynas are the same but you'll want to double check incase there's a difference with models with cruise control and whatnot.
I have them, un-opened, I ended up PC my OEM so never even opened these. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can talk turkey or Virginia spiraled ham if you're interested.
