HD shield and lowers

Ride is an 08 FXDL with quick release HD shield. Don't have much confidence in the current setup as it seems buffeting is bad no matter what height. Been reading about the ability to replace stock screen with an aftermarket of better quality.

Has as anyone done this with great success? Did the screen have built in lowers? I had to add lowers to my old metric cruiser to make any shield I put on to minimize buffeting.

Just get a National cycle deflector screen, you can move it anyway you want, and no buffeting, and pretty cheap and decent quality.

Short

6' after a six pack. But 5'7" is my normal height.

I have a 16 FXDL, I found that putting the quick detach on as low as possible (basically resting on the lower triple tree, the buffeting was the most reduced.
