They can be the holy grail of handling (lol) but I'm still not going to buy one because they're fugly. I'll stick to my mediocre, obsolete Dyna, and maybe I'll pick up a somewhat more obsolete FXR one day.
I rode the 2018 114" Street Bob today. This bike is legit. Arm stretching torque that kept pulling through the rev range. The handling and suspension are also top notch. Before judging the platform, I'd recommend taking it for a ride.

Most on this thread aren't judging the bike. We are just pointing out that they are no longer Dynas and therefore threads about them belong elsewhere. I don't hang out in the touring forum because I don't like touring bikes. I don't like Softails for a number of reasons, not just performance. Therefore, please stop misplacing threads in the wrong subforum. That's all.

The Fat Bob 114 is the only bike in the 2018 lineup I want to demo.

if you think its bad here, imagine the fresh hell unfolding in the softail forums.
All you mothers gettin your panties in a wad cause non dyna peeps posting here - consider this
This particular forum is filled w/ knowledge & experience
Has some actual bikers
Known for doing a lot of modding / improving on our ****
Is willin to help out others (least that my impression)
So what the hell is the beef..., really
They want to hang here / seek advice / play - it all good
Ghost
It would be all fine and good if the threads had anything to do with any of that. Instead, all the threads are about why the new bikes are better or why they suck and you should/should't buy one or why the OP is/isn't keeping their current ride. None of that has anything to do with Dynas...if they were asking for advice on mods or performance, plenty of dudes would be glad to answer here...
