65 - 70 on our motorways 60- 65 0n dual carriage ways and like the first post says around 45 for taking in the views -Someone once told us, when we were doing a little racing, that the first prerequisite to winning a race was to cross the finish lineand I always remember that when I'm riding - it doesn't matter what speed you got up to on the way, the most important thing is to get there.......plus with those ape hangers onthe S Bob at any thing over 75 it feels like me 'eads comin' off!!!
P.S. does any one else think, when it's raining, " 45mph rain" or "55mph rain" -that being how fast you're going to be able to ride in it before it hurts your facetoo much - 15mph rain is bad!!
I like 50-60 on country roads (daytime), 40-50 in the twisties, 60-65 on open highways. Freeways are any speed to keep up with traffic, but with limited traffic 65 feels comfortable. I have not found myself to be a hurry yet.
When on a back road whaever the road and I can handle. Like it at 85-90 if I can get a way with it on the open road. Surprised not more post in this area as all my buds ride the same as I.
