Was Cruising the other day and rolled in the throttle and bike fell on it's face (05 FXDI) let up and would idle, limped it home aout 5 miles and it quit in the yard and went dead. checked all of the fuses and went for the batt cables everything good with continuity but when jiggling the batt lights would come on-off. finally pulled it out still hooked up and tapped on the neg terminal and got the short. tried to replace it with a Yuasa brand battery and the dang thing was 3/16" to tall and would not allow the battery cover to sit right (yea Iwas trying to save money.) Long Story short Harley battery was 7.00 frigging dollars more and I spent a cpl of gals of gas and a cpl of hours offrustration trying not buy GENUINE MOCO parts LOL Nobody I talked to had ever experienced a battery shorting internally like this.
