Broken battery.
Huston we have a problem....
Well damn, 27 miles into a tank of gas and the bike hiccupped and died. I coasted into a used car lot and checked fuses, battery connections and pulled the console to check if the switch had worked loose. Nope nada nothing, no power at all, had it towed to the indie shop in Angier and found out the battery had killed itself. And just my luck he did not have the right replacement there. After calling 2 HD shops in the area I picked up a new battery, checked out the charging system and was back on the road about 6 hours after I broke down. Oh well so much for the other plans I had for the day. Good news is--I got a new battery and the bike is running good.
On another note there was now warning signs other than the hiccup (best way to describe) and then complete failure. The bike has been starting fine and running well.
Have seen that happen in autos trucks and bikes.
Got a little more warning with mine but not much.
I have had good luck with Interstate but most any of them can choke and puke at any given moment.
Bout 4 yrs is all I'll run a battery in my bikes.
Glad ya got going again
