Ok, I've got a PCV which to me is an excellent tuner and your right, theres very little choices. What I did was chose a map(s) as close to my exhaust/intake and run a tank thru each of them detailing every aspect that was important to me; economy, performance and pipe tip coloring. Once I found one that gave me all three, I ran a few tanks covering interstate speeds of 80+ & mountain curves at lowering speeds. I added throttle punches from regular cruising to see if it hickuped or rattled. Once I covered all the areas important to me. I had popping on deceleration so I added 6% front/5% (might have it backwards)rear more fuel from 750-1500 RPMs. I couldn't eliminate all of it but most of it. The more open the back pressure is (no baffles), the more popping there is. I have QBs in mine so it helped to eliminate a lot of it. I hope this helps.
That is the most helpful post yet. Thanks brother and I don't know where you are in Northern Cal but I rode hwy 36 from Red Bluff to Fortuna last year. Probably the most challenging ride I have ever been on. Thanks again
