Need some help
I bought my 2011 wide glide a few years back and got a tune and intake from the dealer. It had vance and hines slip ons already. Anyway I wanted a new exhaust and took it to a local shop to have a custom exhaust built. He did such a crap job I had him re do it so I could at least ride the thing. After 5 months of my bike being at thos guys shop I just went and got it and lived with horrible exhaust for a while. Until recently I saw a guy selling the stock dyna exhaust for really cheap, so I went and picked it up. New gaskets in, new exhaust on and then realize the 02 sensors dont fit. So take it back off and have the 18mm bungs welded in. Go to put it back on and now one of my 02 sensors stripped BAD somehow during reinstallation. So now I have a bad bung and need a new sensor. This has been over a year just simply trying to get a damn exhaust and Im at my witts end with it. My question is, can I just unplug the 02 sensors and cap off the bungs and get back to riding? Or do I have to go do this all over, again?
Probably should have bought the O2 sensors that fit the pipe, instead of welding in the new bungs.
You've been waiting a year... pull the pipes, have a new bung welded in and buy a new O2 sensor.
