Hey guys I'm working on installing my vance and hines staggered short shots and Im not quite sure what to do with the O2 sensor. I just installed a SE are cleaner and will be putting in the power commander 5 shortly. Do I still need to worry about the the sensor or can I just zip tie it to something? I don't think I need it with the PC5 but I wanted to check before I did it. Thanks.
Oh and if anyone has any tips on putting on a exhaust for the first time please send them my way.. Thank again.
Do the instructions that came with the pipes tell you anything about the O2 Sensor? The Bubs exhaust I installed had provision for the O2 sensors (two of them in my case) so I just installed them per the instructions. Good luck with the install.
You do have to plug those holes in the pipes. Either reinstall the o2 sensors or go to the auto parts store and buy m18 x 1.25 plugs. You need two of them.
Thanks, I'll disconnect the sensor but leave it plugged into the exhaust.

The O2 sensors on these bikes don't last nearly as long the one in your car since they are very close to the head and really take a beating from the heat. If you think you might ever use them again you may want to consider removing them.
I didn't know V&H pipes came with o2 sensors,my bubs came without them, already plugged, and I left the originals on the stock pipes which are sitting on the shelf.
