im looking for a jiffy stand raising block as ive extended the front forks 4 inches.. Bung king has one but the postage too australia is more than im paying for the item.. Any one knows off any other shop selling them thanks
great idea for home, but not while im out, im retired so i dont have any connections at work who could easily fab one up. even our local hardware shop dosent have solid bar alloy or teflon,or i would have made one myself .. BUT thanks BUddy
here in australia we call it a side stand same as the rest as the world,, its only you yanks ( and asking on a yank forum) call it a jiffy stand hhhaaa ,, here jiffy is a cleaning product hhaa
i am also in australia, you need to get onto MYUS bro
thanks i looked not knowing the weight i put in the minium 1 kilo about the same post cost ,, it would only weigh about a 100grams. ive emailed bungking too see if there is a better deal on postage,, but looks like im going too raped on postage if i go a head thru them.. a 2 hour search on the net hasnt found anything similar... And for any who thinks im trying too be cheap, i brought a seat from a wrecker in the USA for a scooter ,postage for the seat $50 bucks usa too australia... so $38 bucks postage is expensive,, the part is only $32, convert too aussie dollars about$100
A local metal supplier (ask around local machine shops or fabrication/welding shops) should be able to get you a small chunk of Al for little money. Some time with a drill and grinder and you can make (or have made) for very little.
Locally sourced, I could make a replica of that Bung King block for maybe US$5. Certainly less than US$10. Not counting tools and consumables.
For most raw materials, I use a franchise called Metal Supermarkets. It's cheap, no minimum purchase, and local. Once in a while I need something they don't carry so I use mail-order thru MSC, Mcmaster-carr, or Grainger. There must be Australian equivalents. I know you guys fabricate some dope ****.
