And for any who thinks im trying too be cheap, i brought a seat from a wrecker in the USA for a scooter ,postage for the seat $50 bucks usa too australia... so $38 bucks postage is expensive,, the part is only $32, convert too aussie dollars about$100

postage to my myus accoung was like $5 or something, once it gets there they repackage it and send it on to you and its normally really really cheap, but whats great is you can consolidate your parcels. i ordered from three different places the other day and cus its in the US a lot of the place i was using had free postage, then by the time they got combined and sent on to me the postage (express) was cheaper than normal postage from one of the places to australia

For most raw materials, I use a franchise called Metal Supermarkets. It's cheap, no minimum purchase, and local. Once in a while I need something they don't carry so I use mail-order thru MSC, Mcmaster-carr, or Grainger. There must be Australian equivalents. I know you guys fabricate some dope ****.
totally agree with you on your costing,, its the ****in postage side im pissed off about... i cant believe no one has copied /made any thing like it... ive got free time next week ,ill hunt scanvege around metal merchants, ill buy a tap/drill and make my own i guess unless bungking gets back with a resonable post cost

I understand! I like German and Japanese market parts for my MX5. Shipping and exchange rates can be killers.

yep was the opposite for me with the Harleys, I used to get most of my stuff from the USA, and sometimes get stiffed by customs, now living in Germany and having a BMW 1200GS "while waiting on good cheap Harley FXR , not new softails" loads of parts cheap and good here for Beemers.

Sooooooo......sounds like you need a longer kickstand, or jiffy stand shaft. Does that mean you're getting the shaft from Bung King? (just saying....)

NO what bung king sell is a block off alloy about 1" thick, you drill two holes in your side stand(jiffy)and bolt it on like a big pad... yes i can buy a longer side stand but about $200 aud.. at the momment using a block off wood on a rope,,,

If you have access to a bench grinder, drill and cheap tap set you can make 4 out of a piece of 12" stock:

,,,, and sell off a couple over there to offset costs. We're hearing slugs are a popular mod over there. Don't blame you, I've done it too,,, great mod.

Just use a small piece of wood. About the size of a deck of cards. Small, portable, weighs very little. Cheap too!
