When im searchimg for a motorcycle thats what i look for anways. But it cant be a **** running bike either and look good. Thats why i want a new one. I want to be the first and only owner of it, just like my sportster. But ive asked about used bikes at the dealerships. They are mostly done up w aftermarket parts and the price is sky rocketed above the stock new ones. Im not interesyed in that. Im interested in a stock one that i can make my own. 2016 or 15 new street bobs, are those out there? I wouldnt b opposed to that at all. If it shaves the price off for sure! Craiglist or private owner, that concerns me some. If they were to drop the bike and not tell anyone. Or put new pipes and ac w no fuel management system and have been running it not tuned. Id have better piece of mind getting from a dealer. Im not that mechanically inclined so i wouldnt be able to notice those things.
But i do not have any break down of paper work. I spoke w dealerships hours away from my location. Willing to do me a better deal. They want me to secure the bike w a 500 deposit, just the same as the dealership trying to screw me. Im getting a call at 10 today to secure a bike.
So you think i can do better than 16k otd? What do you think is a good number? And yeah cali is different i believe. I know we got those restrictions thats for sure! Guess in pricing in taxes too!

i suggest a low rider as it's dual disc from the factory a real big plus. I have an 09 currently doing a dual disc conversion and it's definitely not cheap.
this is exactly what I'm saying. Take that thing by a dealer and get a pre-purchase inspection and if all checks out. That's about 3 grand saved after tax and reg. More money for mods, roth ira, bond ladders, hookers, divorce lawyers, escaldes....
I'm so glad hd made me not buy new because of their fake custom bulls***. Garage queens are all over the place waiting to be turned into street walkers.
ca's used maket is a little more rough but, there's always someone having a not so great day, month, year... youvare helping them help you help them by buying their 20mile bike.
Well mrsp is around 13,849 according to a quick google search. So with 2,500 off it should be 11,349? And my interest rate is going to be 15%. And they did say 15,444 was out the door. Am i getting screwed with this deal?

Basically they are tacking the $2,500 right back on the price with that interest rate .. My Daughter has Terrible Credit after a Divorce and even filing bankruptcy .. She still got a New 2016 Deluxe for 10% interest with 50% Down ..
I would fill in the details on the HD financing estimator http://www.harley-davidson.com/content/h-d/en_US/home/motorcycles/tools/financial-tools/estimate-payment.html , print it out & go back to the salesman & have him go to the finance vulture. You would be better to walk away from the $500 than go through with this rip off deal. $200 for 72 months adds up to $14,400 . At 6% , $5000 over 72 months would require a $76 monthly payment. $76 for 72 months adds up to $5472 .
Well i ended up going back to that place to get my 500 back. They cutt me a check. Explained how the guy was over charging me and how rude he was. The manager said sorry for the missunderstanding about his behavior. But said how harley davidson financing is always going to run high in interest. I told him how i was offered a 2017 sb out the door. He said u know we would do a good deal but its our last one. Yhen he continued to say in quotes, 16k otd is actually not including taxes. He tried justifying the 24k i was getting charged by the finance guy and the high interest rate. But i did find a bike for 16. I asked the them to make sure...is there any hidden taxes or charges. He said we dont do that. 16k, no extra charge, its yours
I just bought a 2017 Lowrider Silver and Black. OTD was a little over $17. But, I traded in my 2014 Honda CB1100. And they gave me $6000 for it. So I feel I got a good deal. I test rode a 17 and 18 Lowriders. The 18 was smoother, but I like the looks of the 17 better. Plus I got a better deal.
