I just bought a 2017 Lowrider Silver and Black. OTD was a little over $17. But, I traded in my 2014 Honda CB1100. And they gave me $6000 for it. So I feel I got a good deal. I test rode a 17 and 18 Lowriders. The 18 was smoother, but I like the looks of the 17 better. Plus I got a better deal.
Well i ended up going back to that place to get my 500 back. They cutt me a check. Explained how the guy was over charging me and how rude he was. The manager said sorry for the missunderstanding about his behavior. But said how harley davidson financing is always going to run high in interest. I told him how i was offered a 2017 sb out the door. He said u know we would do a good deal but its our last one. Yhen he continued to say in quotes, 16k otd is actually not including taxes. He tried justifying the 24k i was getting charged by the finance guy and the high interest rate. But i did find a bike for 16. I asked the them to make sure...is there any hidden taxes or charges. He said we dont do that. 16k, no extra charge, its yours
So they charge taxes after the buyer is out the door? That got to be Exit tax.

So i ended up getting a brand new 2017 street bob for 16,000 total out the door at old road harley-davidson in santa clarita, ca. They were really nice. Treated me respectfully and hooked me up. They had my gf pick out a bell to give to me and put it on my bike. Hooked us up with shirts and oil. Also was willing to give us deals on helmets. As well offered to hook me up w my first 1,000 mile maintanance for the bike!! Wow what a total difference from other dealer experiences. I highly recommend this place to people who live in california!! Comparked to harley davidson of fresno to old road harley davidson.....an 8k difference with a way better customer service experience!! Im 3 hours away from them but i think they will be getting my business from now on.
I want to thank all of you guys for your replies and comments! It really did help me out alot. It confirmed my feeling of being treated wrong and screwed. Who know what the outcome would of been if i didnt get such great advice. Hopefully this post helps anyone else out there searching for a new ride. Or are dealing w an unreasonable dealer. Btw a big concern for me besides that was being 5'9 and flat footing the bike. Im flat foot it just fine. Its actually a lil lower than the 72 if im not mistaken. Anyways thanks again! Thats what i was thinking too. It will be worth something in the later yeard. Im the only owner and i plan on keeping it that way for years to come. Maybe look into how much i can get for it later on down the line pe rhaps
