Default FXDLS MX Grips
Hey guys,

Trying to figure out a way of throwing some MX grips on my FXDLS but coming up with nothing other than trying to stretch them over a Drag Specialties 1.4" sleeve.

Surely there's an easier way!!

Boiling them 15-20 Minutes makes it easier to pull them over the handlebar.

I could not find any 1" grip that I liked better than soft MX grips. Just boiled standard 7/8" MX grips and stretched them over the bars and throttle sleeve. I had the sleeve off the bar when doing it.

I put mx grips on my bike easy only using hair spray

Cheers fellas, I'm guessing you just cut the grips off the stock tube and used that?

I used a fresh throttle sleeve, cut them before for standard grips.

Those look great, your probably stronger than me. Haha. I really had to heat mine to have any chance to get them on.

Fyi DOM8R, the LRS has throttle by wire which is a bit different than the tube sleeve you're referring to.

I was wanting to put MX grips on my LRS as well, but was hesitant because of the TBW, but now that I see it can be done, I may just do this!

shibbby911, are there any issues at all? How many miles have you put on since the new grips?
