Check out Automotive Machine and Supply in Ft Worth, Texas. They have a 105 and 107 kit. The 107 Hi Torque Pork kit goes for $579.00, plus gaskets. The 105 goes for $480.00 plus gaskets.

I am very happy with my upgrade from 96 to 103. I'm using H-D SE 204 cams with .030 head gaskets and an easy milling of the heads and I do not need or have compression releases. FP3 is the bomb.

If you're on a budget, all you need to do is pick up a pair of nice 103 pistons from Ebay and then have your original cylinders bored. You could also pick up a set of the later model stock "high output" cams for almost nothing but I'd suggest the 204's offered by H-D. They give a lot more punch in mid range and they do not require compression releases.

I hope you have enough cash to go to the FP3 after you make your upgrade.

204's are on my cam shortlist. FP3 is part of the reason my budget is limited. I see it as a must have.

You can turn on the compression releases with the FP3 as well. I didn't mention easy start cams because he said he was staying with HD offerings. I like the SE 259 cams better than the 204's but that's just me personally. My Rocker lived without compression releases for a couple years after I bumped to the 103, but I finally put them in, and it starts SO much easier, when the heads are off, it doesn't cost very much at all to add them.

Made my 96 a 103, complete with 10.5:1 pistons, se211 cam and cometic head gasket. Puts out 100 hp and 170nm tq. Also had the automatic compression releases install for easy starting.

i personally am very am very happy with my se259 cams.

Op, you can build your motor and still stay within emissions standards. Don't know about Switzerland but in the us it doesn't matter what we do to our motors as long as they pass emissions standards (but luckily for me, we don't have that in Michigan)

If you go with a relatively high-lift cam like the 259, I would upgrade the lifters since the higher lift will stress the valve train.

The 204's are a moderate lift but with great duration and timing. The idle lopes along and some people like that.

i have a set of fueling lifters and quickee adjustable pushrods to install, so should be good.
I like the idea of 204s, not looking for max HP and torque so much as long distance performance. I do a lot if touring so a medium lift is probably a good way to go.

Emissions arent the issue, i can stay well within that. Over here ALL mods are rigorously controlled. Generally if you pass emissions and noise and you get a decent inspector on the day they'll leave you alone, but if they suspect for a moment that you've installed mods that put the bike outside of factory spec for that model then you're in for a whole lotta pain.

By going with the SE103 i can do the build myself, then for a small fee have a dealer issue a doc for the DoT that will make it legal.
