new back tire

just finished changing my back tire and brake pads I've been running me 880's but I thought I'd try a dunlop gt501 what a POS that was I get 8-9000 miles out of the metzeler I got 5500 from the dunlop the me 880 cost me otd $160 on the rim I saw a michelin for about $30 less it was called a comander anyone tried one? it had a good looking tread pattern but no one at cyclegear could tell me anything about it

I get the best life out of the me 880 but they don't grip quite as well as the originals but I only got about 6500 miles from the originals
