New 2017 FXDLS - Must Have Upgrades / Modifications?
Dyna Glide ModelsSuper Glide, Super Glide Sport, Super Glide Custom, Dyna Glide Convertible, Super Glide T-Sport, Dyna Glide Police, Dyna Switchback, Low Rider, Street Bob, Fat Bob and Wide Glide.
Just so I understand; you're going to do mods to the bike while it's in storage at the dealer? Part of the fun of the mods, beyond doing them yourself, is the before and after. Modding the bike before you even spend any time riding sort of takes the fun out of it, for me.
You'll have no basis for comparison, how can you appreciate what some of the mods bring to the table if you don't even know what it was before? Getting 20% off the already 40% overpriced dealer parts isn't much of a deal and I wouldn't let a dealer touch my bike, even for free. As Cvaria already posted, online is your friend. And spinning those wrenches yourself is priceless.
We can give you a list as long as your arm on all manner of mods, but take your time, ride the bike for a bit, and you'll get the feel for what you want; and you'll know the difference when you do the mods...
That's a really good point ... every new bike I've purchased has typically been modded during the first service ... Stage 1 to let it breath and new pipes. I think I might change up my approach on this bike and enjoy it stock for a bit.
May buy a Daymaker headlight and swap out the rear fender though.

Once again, I couldn’t agree more with this man right here! This guy knows his stuff. So I’d pay particular attention to any advice that he gives you. Never in a million years would I buy anything from Harley! Discounted or not.
