Just make a "Second Generation" section.
Least that's how the vintage car forums I use do it. Puts the split right where it needs to be. It's a whole new everything on the bikes, if it had a different name there wouldn't be any logic in mixing it with bikes that had a different frame, even if the same rear suspension style.

Ya I know. I’m just so sick of seeing this same topic started over and over again. Do people really not understand that they are in fact softails and not dynas? Blows my mind
Agreed. It`s a troll worthy topic that even I fell for.
I remember the good old days when you could log into the Dyna forum and just talk about Dyna's.
HD should have named 2018's "Soft Glide", I think it was ok to discuss the 2018's the first week or 2 after they came out but this crap in the Dyna forum is getting really old
