so my bike is down. Snapped my bolts holding my pulley to my wheel which ended up cracking my hub and it'll cost about 1200 to fix. Figured while I'm at it, I want to upgrade my clutch. It was starting to slip a little before it broke and with all the rollers and how hard I ride it,might as well upgrade it

$1200? Every low rider S on the road today is still under warranty for at least two more months... Why are you being charged?
I've got an Evolution Industries Diamond Terminator clutch sitting here waiting to get installed on my LRS. Have a buddy with one in his 111" S&S powered FXR with Baker 6 speed. I was sold the first time I rode it.
Unless he's got a real dickly service writer, 2016's aren't subject to the auto-void... Oh, I guess he could have a '17 huh. Oh well.
I think he might be referring to performance mods such as larger displacement kit not done by dealer or later after initial purchase or something they are attributing to the cause of the failure. Or, he has a crappy dealership!

That's what I figured. I did the same thing only I bought a special service contract that covers it.
Well because Harley or any shop didn't do the work is basically the issue. We pulled the wheel to have it painted and put it back on (used the same bolts ) and because there's no documentation showing new bolts were used, what they were torqued at etc. , there's no warranty on it. And can't hide the fact the wheel was pulled since it was painted.
Snapped all 5 pulley bolts and then cracked the hub.
