Default What Is This?
So I removed the fuse box cover and found this wedged in the top near the ECM. The wires came around the outside of the fuse box and I noticed that because of that they were pinched between the cover and the box when the cover was on. Obviously not what HD had intended.

I re-routed the wires under the seat and tie wrapped them steady. The way they were it was just a matter of time before the cover wore away the casing and created a short.

so I'm curious what this is, what it does and any ideas how it ended up wedged in the fuse box. i'm thinking some mechanic (for lack of a better word) was too lazy to properly route it when potentially the attachment was replaced.

The bike is a 2009 Lowrider FI.

Security system antenna. It is usually directly beneath the seat.

HD 68956-07 is a security system antenna. And yea, someone did poor install

Thanks for the replies..guess I did the right thing putting it under the seat.

I love how it's "made in China".... that's just perfect....lol

most of your bike is made in china, mexico, taiwan, or the philippians


it's just assembled here in the states

Yes. A lot of parts are made in Asia. Look at most of the electronics, and you'll find they are mostly made there.
