I have the HD rests....in particular, the slotted design. The don't come with the pegs (it's just a shifter peg on each side). The nice thing about that is, you can get the same pegs you already have (i.e. shifter, brake, foot)....if, of course, you upgraded from the crappy stock rubber/plastic pegs. As far as if they really make a difference...yes. You have more room to move your feet around. Essentially, you're sort of creating a floorboard if you will...not quite...but similar. I like them...that's the best answer I can give you. If you don't like the harley ones, Kuryakyn makes some as well, as I'm sure some other aftermarket companies do also.

I have Kuryakyn wide stirrups, took a while to get right angle, now love 'em.

I also have the Kuryaykn stirrups. I dug one into the pavement right after I installed them so I guess you could say I had to tinker a little to get the right angle too. I love 'em though, youhave somany more options regarding foot position I wouldn't want to do a long ride without them now.

I have HDs. So many positions to move your feet around with heel rests. Here is a pic.

I have Kuryakyn switchblade pegs (pics in my gallery). I like that I can fold the heel rest into the peg if I want. Bought them at Eastern and got a good price.

I bought the HD heel rests and after messing around with them trying to find just the right position. I installed them backwards, so that they are fitted into the bike more. Maybe it is just me but, I like the angle better that way. Looks fine too.

I have the Kuryakyn Dual Peg w/heel stirrups. Once you get them set right they are pretty comfortable.
