Me too. I’d love to grab a 99 or 2000 FXR(as an add, not a replace). I’m always looking at classifieds. I saw one on eBay a while back with 0 miles supposedly (and appeared so) just out of the crate from some collector. Wanted $15k I think.
Glad I didn't see that .. If really true Out of the crate New for 15K I would have bought it on the spot .. Might have slept in the Doghouse for a Year but would have been worth it .. By Biggest regret ever was selling my 2000 FXR4 even if did get a great Price for it .. With what I have into my 05 FXD now will just keep it .. If lasts long enough might even do the 95 Bore with a Higher Lift Cam .. But as long as running like it is , quite happy with it ..

Oh thats pretty (the bike of course ). Honestly I dont remember now if the 15k was the buy it now price of if thats just where the bid was when I looked at it...
MAYBE, if I eventually end up in a rural area I might pick up a r1200gs or another semi-enduro, but for the road, I love what I got. If eventually they fall apart from all the salt corrosion that people tell me is inevitable, then Ill cross that bridge. But for now, theres nothing out there I need or want.
Extremely popular bikes out here in the cornfields of Iowa. That's the main complaint I hear about HD from this area, no dual sport enduro style bikes. Also, salt isnt used as much anymore, it's mostly sand.
The only other bike that interests me is a Road King Special, but that's for when my FXDLS dies, trade in my jeans for sweatpants, shutter shades for polygrip, and when I start yelling at kids to get off my lawn. AKA: retirement.
Now that Harley has stopped making Dynas, which bike will my fellow Dyna lovers favor?.
i almost responded to this post when it was in the general forum but, stopped because it is, at its core, silly. Dynas aren't going anywhere. Looks like it got reposted or moved here so i'll throw in my gruff response.
there are still 2017 dynas sitting on dealer floors. If you want a dyna, go get one. What does it matter if hd isn't making them anymore? The are still supporting them and the aftermarket will support them for decades.
it's really your call and has nothing to do with us. Go put butts on seats and go from there. Ride everything. The stock 2018s softies feel/handle better than ANY stock dyna... fk what people opine. the lip service in this thread does not matter. There are other issues with the new ones though. End of the day, you'll settle on what you like. If you like the dyna platform, stick with it and upgrade to a newer one. If you just want something new, dont act like hd not making them anymore is forcing your hand, thats bs.
get out there and annoy the sales folks with your unstoppable barrage of test rides and tire kicking. Lol. Have fun.
Not that I have any plans to sell my bike....but if I was to get another it would be a toss up between the new Breakout and the Fat Boy. The only thing I don't like about the Breakout is the 3 gallon gas tank. I like the newest Sport Glide too but think the money is better spent on the other two.
