Not starting & Leaking petcock
Hi All.
I have inherited my Dads old Dyna wise glide it had been stood for a while, so battery was dead I changed the battery for a brand new one. I Drained all the old fuel out and put fresh fuel in, she now turns over and gets to the 1st pop/bang wanting to start but dosnt. I then replaced the leads and plugs on her, but noticed on turn over that the petcock is leaking fuel out of the bottom on everything crank. Has anyone else had this? And could they be related?

If its been sitting for a while you should start by cleaning the carb or rebuilding if necessary. Since you need air fuel and spark to start, and youre leaking fuel, then yes it is very possible it is related. Start off by fixing the leak, then go from there. Since youre there, check your fuel lines for any cracks or brittle and replace as necessary.

Hi about a year.
put new petcock in and with the aid of easystart I got it running ( set off a few alarms on the cars up the road).
It will run on the choke but then cuts out. I will take the carb out and clean it thank you.
