Default Making New Plans for the FXDB

I had the opportunity to take a girl for a ride Saturday, but the bike is lowered one inch in the rear(lowering blocks), has no passenger seat, and no passenger pegs or peg brackets.

Gotta fix that me thinks.

Plus I need at least some kind of storage on the bike, no saddle bags though. just some room for my overnight diabetes kit, maybe some basic tools, registration and insurance cards.

Back to the drawing board.

Could take care of the small things pretty easy with a small tool bag. Just make sure you put your paper work in a ziplock plastic bag to keep the water out.

And as much as I like the look of a solo seat it does defeat half the fun of having a Harley.
The passenger peg mounts come with the hardware needed to install Pegs. As far as a seat goes my Lucky Daves is a thing of beauty... only have about 100 miles on it though since I had a wheel bearing go out while testing it.

Sissy bar, pegs, lick-n-stick pad, and a pack.

I was thinking just to take the lowering blocks off and retain use of the stock shocks, then a passenger seat that goes with the Lepera bare bones seat. It will be good for short rides with no fat chicks, lol. I still have the brackets and mounting screws for the passenger peg brackets, need to buy some passenger pegs that match the front pegs. I was thinking a small battery box bag, maybe a downtube bag, maybe a fork bag below the headlight.

I do love the solo look, but it just isn't working out. I can see that already.

Edit: I like the sissy bar idea.

You could probably pick up a stock Wide Glide sissy bar pretty cheap. It's small enough to maintain clean styling, but it's surprisingly useful as far as keeping your lady from sliding off the back.

Hey, don't wave off fat chicks so fast! Take a gander through the Thick Hotties Showdown and ya might change your tune....Some prime beef in there! And it's not called a wide Glide for nothing!!1

Lol, I've had a lady fall off the back of a bike once when I was taking off. She was unhurt, but a little embarrassed.

remove worthless lowering blocks, install handle bar bag. get 2up seat and Bung king or IMZZ elite rear crash bar that doubles as passenger pegs. problems solved.

I have a Harley Branded Touring Seat with matching passenger seat that the P/O sold with the bike. Ugly as homemade sin though - lol.

As has already been said I would go the sissy bar and matching pillion seat for your lady passenger and should you need to carry a bit of stuff go with a roll bag.

I had 2 & 3 day trips using only my Kury Custom Roll Bag. Wish I could run one on my fat bob but bar position and clutch cable routing doesn't permit it.
