I've been running a day maker so long now I almost forget I have it.

But I really like it. I've got some pics some where I'll try to dig up of the difference between it and the stock halogen. I ride to work and back home when its dark and I really enjoy the light output and the LED color of the day maker.

the wisamic and sunpie are the same as the overpriced old daymaker. @$35-50 bucks, you can't go wrong. the new signature daymaker is subpar...

search through here: https://www.youtube.com/user/cvaria4...ber&shelf_id=1 i've tested out a a bunch of lights. i don't say anything in videos on purpose... lights speak for themselves. i promise you 3-4 vids will stand out. they will match up with whats below.
I keep going back to it too, trying to force myself to use the $700 paper weight sitting on the shelf. But always go back to the Daymaker.
I'm glad it works for you though. I even contacted JW Speaker about the color, they said it was yellower on purpose to look more natural, like stock. I asked if they were going to make a brighter version and they never responded back.

In short you're an @$$hat running an LED bulb in a halogen housing.
Agreed. Under no circumstances do HID or LED belong in a reflective housing. Also, a lot of these guys that buy the daymaker or similar projector, tend to adjust them way too high. The cutoff from a projector should NEVER be glaring into the side view mirrors of cars from 35ft away. If it does, it is aimed too high. Don’t be that ******* that likes to blind people. It’s not safe for you or oncoming cars.

100% bs and personal opinion on led h4s. i ran led in stock housing for a while no probs or flashing and i generally aim my light higher, on purpose. (if you watch those vids, you'll see them aimed high... most anyway, couldn't do it with the trubeam and probeam they are just too bright with hard cutoffs) zero fks given. you don't like it,

why are we calling people names because you have feelings? anybody calling you a lame for running a daymaker?

i hear you but, brighter isn't better. they did do it on purpose. it's that way to put less strain on your eyes. they call it comfortlite: http://www.jwspeaker.com/blog/comfortlite/ that's part of the reason i like it so much. smooth, even dispersion that is not riddled with hard/blinding transitions from zone to zone (like the trubeam). the trubeam is about as bright and abusive as it gets. there's TOO MUCH light coming out of that thing. if the mellow light bothered, you, i understand.

here's what i'm on about:

harsh CD trubeam:

smooth 8690a:

daymakers and clones:

DON't run an LED bulb in the stock housing-yes, it will fit, but the focal point of the light source will be off and you'll get a crappy pattern or you'll blind oncoming traffic. You MIGHT be able to adjust the headlight to get a useful and/legal light pattern, but not likely.

Go on eBay or wherever and buy a cheap chinese knockoff 5.75 or 7" lamp. Most of them are pure crap and won't last long, but they're so cheap compared to the quality units (JW Speaker, Trucklite, VisionX, etc.) that you can afford to replace a failed unit a few times and still be ahead of the game.

OR, just bite the bullet and get something quality right off the bat. I'm partial to VisionX (OEM for Custom Dynamics Tru-Vision). Also, consider Aux lights rather than adaptive-less expensive and more reliable.

It’s nice to see that someone else actually knows what they are talking about. A reflective housing that is designed for a halogen bulb will not disperse the light properly when equipped with an LED or HID bulb. PERIOD. It’s not an opinion. It’s a FACT. Also, aiming your headlights higher than the factory setting is in fact illegal and will get you a ticket. IF the cop knows how to check the beam pattern. Not only is it illegal, it’s extremely dangerous to oncoming traffic. If you intentionally adjust your headlight high, you’re an *******. There’s a hi and low beam for a reason.

Amazon Amazon

I recently bought and installed this Wisamic LED headlight and I love it. Super easy to install and I didn't have to make any adjustments. Lights up the road in front of me and doesn't bother any other drivers...so far.

So... Guess I should have waited to post tomorrow...
I have had the total day of the stupid.... And I might be reading this wrong?
Housing? For some reason the bucket is in my head?
Now I will admit that I do need to re adjust my bucket as I just had the front end re worked and I did gain some ride hight from it
But everything is wired correctly and have a load eq inline. And I did have to replace the butcher job that someone did trying to relocate the front turn signals
