Looking to get a D/C Square Body seat. I love the look of them and unfortunately the competition is just ever so different. Then we have the ~$150 cost advantage as well. Is it just a matter of cutting and welding some brackets?
The front seat mount and rear tank.mount are integrated into a single tubular weldment on the 06.
You could cut off the front mounting hoop and maybe work up something but I'm not sure. I've never had a later model.seat in my hands to compare. Might also be able to move the front tab on the later set pan.
I think the rest will work, but that's mostly assumption and comparing photos.
I think the shock mounts on the later bikes are wider, too.
Hopefully somebody with hands on experience will stop in.
