It’s an after market steel fender that is supposed to be for a Softy Heritage or Deluxe. I had the rivits shaved. Klockwerks makes (or at least used to?) a bracket that lets the use of a softy fender mount to a Dyna fork. My Street Bob is running a set of Fat Bob trees that allow the wide fender to be mounted.

Ah ok, That makes a lot of sense. I'll have to keep that in my for a future project. The fender I'm using was originally a fender from Vulcan for the stock 19" wheel when you converted your front end from narrow to wide.

I had a family friend do some fabrication work to widen the fender and make it a little longer in the back. The fender almost looks like it hugs the wheel, it truly is a nice little custom job.

Well, a couple of weekends ago, I manage to sit down and work on my Superglide and put on the stock handle bars. I'm really happy with them and the way they turn out. Here are some pictures..

I used FLST trees in FXST trees on my '02 FXD.

OP- not sure what kind of direction you're wanting to take your bike, but you mentioned wanting to lower it. FXDF shocks & 2-under (stock FLST length) fork tubes will lower you an inch & a half in the rear & 2 inches in front (same shocks & fork tubes that I have on mine). Take-off FXDF shocks can be had for short dollars off ebay & offer a pretty damned nice ride. That said, with the FXDWG trees, your front end will never be as "rigid" & precise as the 39mm or 49mm forks, but since you're running the FXDWG sliders (vs. my mix & match), a fork brace will help tighten your front end up nicely.

Don't know your taste or style, but you oughtta look into the factory P&A Switchback footboards. Amazingly comfortable & easily the best thing I've done to the bike. They're only listed for '06-up Dynas, but fit our bikes perfectly, sans a $0.25 cotter pin.

I dig your wheels. That's a cool look with your paint.
