Just wondering if anyone had insight on if I can put a bias tire on my bike for the rear tire.
Stock states that the Michelin is a Radial tire but I am looking to go with Perilli Night Dragons on the front and rear and the front seems to be radical and the back would be bias. Wondering if I need to look for another tire since it seems they only come in bias for the rear. Any insight or advice. I know Tincup highly recommends them. Attached is a picture of what Im looking to put on.
The Pirelli 90/90-21 54H is bias ply; the 180/60-17 75V is bias ply.
You're good to go, and you will love them. Use Ride On for dynamic balancing and added puncture protection. 7 ounces in the front 90/90, 14 ounces in the 180/60 rear...
Thank you for the tip and the different site. They have been ordered
Nice! And as Multi did point out the Scorchers that were OEM when I bought my '13 were also bias ply.
You will love the Night Dragons. Keep in mind they're a more performance oriented tire with their profile and composition and don't respond well to lower tire pressures. Lower pressures will lead to handling issues and accelerated wear.
On my 90/90 front, 39 - 41 PSI is the sweet spot; the rear 180/60 it's 42- 44 PSI. Experiment a bit, you will notice even a 1 - 2 PSI change. See what feels best for you but don't run them too low.
