Default Rear Shocks Ohlins vs Progressive

I need new rear shocks and wanted to hear from you all if Ohlins are truly worth the money or if Progressive will give me the same quality. I heard that Ohlins are more for racing. I am looking for comfort and handling. Looking to hear the good and bad

right of the bat, progressivie is in no way near the quailty of ohlins. either pay up or look at progressive, racetech, foxs, and others in the same grade.

Progressive suspension is a step above stock. Better, but there are much better shocks out there.

Ohlins, Fox, Pro-Action, Hagon, Racetech, and the like are in another class above progressive IMO. When you order these shocks they'll be built for you and how you ride. You wont get that with progressive, plus I was very unimpressed Progressive's customer service and actually went back to stock shocks on my bike until I can afford something like Ohlins or Pro-action.

LOL, I think the first reply says it all. With the other brands, comparing their top of the line models to Ohlins, it is not that much more to go with Ohlins.

If progressives were the same quality as ohlins everyone would run them and not ohlins.you get what you pay for when it comes to suspension

A good suspension improves comfort and handling. Its not just about racing.

is it worth it? Thats up to u. I value good comfort and handling...hence Ohlins is what i chose. Its more important than tq and hp on my priorities.

Ive only tried the stock and 13.5" PS 490s on my Dyna. Much improvement from stock, handling and comfort. If I had the money, I would have went with Legend Suspensions.

air suspension is only good for comfort and adjustablity, not actual handling and performance.

air is far too variable with pressure, temperature, and humidity. Air never has a consistent spring rate.
