Hey all, I’m looking for a set of engine nut and bolt chrome covers . I looked st the ratings from the harley shop it says you gotta silicone then all on. The set I looked at on amazon are plastic. Anyone know a good place to get quality chrome nut and bolt covers. Thanks, kevjn
I don't think anybody here will have an answer for that.
I think the overwhelming majority of guys here either run the stock bolts as is, or replace with stronger and much better looking ARP bolts. Those chrome covers look exactly like what they are... cheap plastic, much better places to spend your money improving performance and looks else where on the bike. Personally I'm replacing bolts slowly with ARP as needed or as I pick them up.

Those covers are a PITA if you ever need to remove them to undo a fastener. More often than not you will ruin the cover getting it off, which means having a mismatched set or spending hard earned $$ on new ones.
The cheap plastic Amazon ones are fine to cover pretty much everything except headbolts (too hot).
I run a set on both my Super Glides & no issues at all.
They look perfect & there are enough in a kit that you always have several spares in case you lose one at the dealership.
They stay on without silicone & easily pop off with a flathead screwdriver...
