Neutral light
I have a strange question. The last couple of times I have gone up the mountain roads to Big Bear, my neutral light goes on about half-way up. It goes off as soon as I start down the hill. The gears change normally so it doesn't seem to have an effect on the transmission.
Has anyone ever heard of this?? The first time I thought maybe it was water as I had washed the bike the day before the ride but the second time there was no water near my bike.
- Thanks, Mike

I'm having a problem with my neutral light when the bike is hot, the bike will go into neutral but the light doesn't come on. there is a recall on the saftey neutral switch or something to do with the neutral gear in the transmission. the dealer is going to fix mine along with several other issues.
Mine comes on a lot. In 4th and 6th. I ignore it for the most part and will have the dealer look at it when I go in for service.

Mine was doing this. The dealer told me to bring it and and they would change the switch under warranty. Before I could do that I changed the fluids and it stopped. I used Redline in the tranny and that has fixed the problem. Gone about 1500 miles since and it has not happened again.
Mine ( 06 Street Bob ) started to flicker when in any gear and sometimes stay on continuously - especially once hot. I noticed this about 1 week after I put it back on the road after sitting all winter. Then for some reason it went back to normal and all is finefor now ... I hate these intermittant problems just waiting to re-surface once the bike is off warranty
