Default Neutral light concern

I have a '08 Super Glide Custom with what started as a flickering neutral light. The light would faintly flicker while riding at 50-60mph. Now it comes on and basically stays on while moving but stays off at very low speeds or at a stop in gear. Light comes on as it should when actually in neutral. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like a defective sensor.

I had the same problem with my 06 super glide. The dealer told me to bring it in and they would change the switch. Before I could do that I changed the tranny fluid to Redline shockproof and the problem has stopped. The light works fine. I have two months left on the warranty and I am not sure what to do. I can get the switch replaced for free but for the past year and half it has worked perfectly.

I would check the wires and connection at the switch 1st.

Mine did it once where the light mostly stayed on but fixed itself after I restarted the bike. I was going over really bumpy roads when it happened.

If you take the wire off the sensor the light will stay on. Is it possible that the wire is not on the sensor tight and with vibration it doesn't have a good connection? Otherwise, I'd say the sensor was going bad....
