Hi guys. Please view my video. After youre done laughing, can anyone explain what the hell is going on. Plus its only firing on the rear cylinder although both are sparking. New battery and crank position sensor. Cleared a p1001 from my fuelpak 3. Top end rebuild but both pistons an all push rods move and valves open. Im at a loss.
Cheers and beers
Chris.
Looks like timing is off. Perhaps the pushrods are swapt in the build
mhmm. I put the black on exhaust side and silver on intake. I didnt think they were cylinder specific. If thats the case, it would seem an easy fix to swap them over. I did keep them in pairs when I took them out. What do you think?
I do not know wich color the push rods have. But there is a length difference. It is a while ago heen I took them apart. And the last couple of years I use the adjustable ones from Fuelmoto. But this info should be found here on the forum. And sinds it is one cilinder that not work properly, my gues is that the front cilinder pushrods are switcht. Just remove the pushrodcovers and check it out.

hey Dutch66. Unfortunately or fortunately as the case may be, the pushrods are in the correct order. What else could throw the timing so bad? I didnt open the cam cover at any stage during the rebuild. Would it be worth stripping the front rocker box to see whats going on... and what would I be looking for?
cheers
chris.
It is hard to say from a distannce. I would start with a compression check. Then a spark check ( with a spark tester to see if there is enough spark to jump. Check if the sparkpug wires are nog swapped at the coil. If this all would nog help, you need to open the rockerboxes and check if its in there. If not, pull the pushrods si you can check the lifters. If its not all that then the next step Will be opening the camchest. Good luck and hopefully it is somethinh minor.
