I moved to Tennessee from California 12 years ago, ON PURPOSE, smartest think I ever did in my life.
Tennessee is an amazingly beautiful state with some of the most gracious people I have ever met.
I'm with TC, damn glad I moved to Tennessee!

Intruder, I moved from Massachusetts and don't miss it at all. Friendly people, awesome roads, no state income tax, houses cost 1/3 of what they get in New England. Did I mention the windy roads??

Welcome to Tennessee.................
And besides..................every state has its virtues..........some more than others it seems................
Tennessee is no more all about rednecks, pigs, cotton fields and hillbillies than some place like, say....New York, is all about gangs, drug dealers, pimps, hos and bleeding heart liberals.
Each state gets a bad rap on so many levels......some true... some... just plain old stereotypical uninformed attitudes.
Tennessee has some absolutely beautiful scenery in the Appalachins and the Smokies.....Personally I love living here.
Of course......I moved from the aforementioned pigs, cottonfields, rednecks[:'(] and the like to the middle of the state.[truely Gods country I think].....to where I can be in the mountains inside of 1.5 hrs.
It really is a beautiful state.................
