that and they are trying to convince themselves that spending a grand on shocks was a wise purchase. Any shock is going to be better than the garbage burly slammers he is running.

Update-

I did get a pristine set of touring air shocks installed and they are WONDERFUL. Night and day over those slammers. The top acorn nut was cross threaded on to the stud on the left side, so that took a little bit of time to correct (mostly because my Hanson tap and die set doesn't have a 1/2-20). All things considered, this is easily one of the best mods i've done.

I just ordered the 11" Drag Specialties adjustables a previous member showed. Will report back but I think will be a real nice way to get the back down without that 10.5" scrape issues and better damping.

Installed the 11" Drag Specialties and did the Progressive front drop at 1".

Handles great and definitely shortened the Wide Glide

Fully adjustable, piggyback shocks that come in 14" length that are under 1000USD? Awesome.

https://www.getlowered.com/racingbro...7-harley-dyna/

Then I scroll down to the bottom: Fits: 1991-2017 Harley Dyna Models (Except FXDF)

Typical fat shaming oppression. Seriously though, what's different about the Fat Bob rear end that would make these not work? I thought I had a winner here because I'm also done with scraping in corners.

thats a good question. I know guys take the stock fxdf shocks and put them on street bobs so it stands to reason that any shock that would fit a street bob *should* fit a fat bob. I'd say its worth a phone call.

I’d almost guarantee they would fit. Frame dimensions are same and I would be shocked if the swingarm is different. Hopefully they just didn’t list your model

I don't mean to derail your thread OP, so please let me know if I am, but here's what I've found for anyone reading this:

- Swingarm for 2011 Dynas is P/N 47820-10 (ALL) which means FXDL, FXDWG, FXDC, FXDB, and FXDF
- There are three different part numbers for frames, FXDF has its own with P/N 47760-10 but my guess is that the only difference is the neck
- Shocks P/N 54615-01 is for FXDWG, FXDC, and FXDB
- Shocks P/N 54534-09 is for FXDL
- Shocks P/N 54537-08A is for FXDF
- Bushing P/N 54556-84 (ALL)

I bet they listed it as not fitting FXDF because the stock Fat Bob shocks are a different length, therefore it's not a direct replacement. As mentioned, it probably does actually fit, it's just a different length and that's what they're trying to indicate. Worth a call for sure. Are you meant to get your own Harley bushing for these aftermarket shocks?
