I recently picked up some 2005 fxdx forks for my bike. They're dead stock, un-used and were in the original box. Finally got them on the bike this week and went to dial in the suspension using the damping ***** on top of the forks. Manual says they have 14 positions.... My right one has 15 (if i can count), but my left has 7 positions, which is obviously not right.
In the manual it looks like the **** and the cap are just one solid piece. Anyone experience this problem? and how is pulling apart the **** mechanism?
Does anyone have experience with these caps? I know they're busted, just trying to figure out if its just the ****, the cap, or something in the tube. I'm a total squid with these cartridge forks and hoping to find out how many worms are in the can i'm about to open.
Thanks, for any help, i appreciate it.
