Default Bagger bars on Dyna?

Hey all,

This is my first post to this forum. New to Harleys and just bought my first one in January. I purchased a 2016 Fat Bob with 8000 K for a crazy deal since it was winter over here in B.C.

I love the bike however the bars just don't do it for me. I'm 6'1 and the drag bars are nice but leave me leaning forward a bit. I went to the dealership and the only bars that really stood out for me were the Paul Yaffe 14" bagger bars. They said they could retrofit it no problem and I was just wondering if anyone else has done this, or if anyone knows of some similar bars that are meant for this bike.

Glad to be part of HD club !!

Heres a pic of the bars, I love the peak and think they will be ****in BAD-*** on a FB

I'm looking to add some bagger bars to mine, following in case you get a response. Have to have them to get around my radio on my batwing (see pic in sig).

Welcome to the forum. I lived in Esquimalt back in the 70's, and was back on the island last summer. Love that 120kph shot of freeway!
Brother had 12" fat mini apes on his Dyna; very comfortable...I went with a lower, wider bar

and added a "holly wood bar" myself, as well as discreet 2" pullback risers. I'm looking to change mine out again; will go a few inches narrower and a bit more pullback in the grips...comfort is king when your on the road for days, I'll tell you, especially as you age. 1 1/4" bars gave us room for internal wiring; really cleans things up. If you change bars, it's also a time to consider grip heaters (we went aftermarket) and turn signal mirrors...but be prepared for $$$.

Welcome from across the Sound, State side

If you're swapping them out I suggest taking a minute to check to see where you'd be most comfortable with them, an inch or two makes a huge difference [that's what she said]:

It should be noted that if you change your seat this can change things drastically too. I swapped the seat on my bike and it put me up a little higher, which very very slightly changed my relationship to the bars. However the result of that was I couldn't ride nearly as long and actually felt less in control of the bike when riding it hard (geometry wasn't working as well). Also made me feel on top of the bike rather than in it. It was subtle, took about 800 miles till that was brought to my attention and I swapped back and forth between seats while doing a loop around my house several times in a row. After testing the handle bar height I noticed that if I put it up 1" more (on top of what the seat added) my back relaxed completed differently.

Should look pretty sweet on a Fat Bob!

I'm about the same height and I ended up going with a 16" king demon ape. Sits an inch or so over shoulder level.
