Default Z Bars suggestions ?

Hi Guys,
I am looking at Z Bars, due to a small conflict between myself and OPP (Ontario Prov Police) re: the height of my bars .

So I am looking for an 8" bars that has a bit of a pull down and the best pull back. I have the old Road6 style, the new style looks really nice but since I am out for a new bar, I thought I ask everyone, what is your favorite Z/mini ape bars .. something with flare and old skool looks.

I was looking at the jammers 8" Z Narrow .. I love the height and pullback , but they come with very short center bar in the bottom, I wonder if it will look wrong on top of the triple (my current bars are almost 10" wide at the bottom and not 7.5").

Here is a pic of the 8" bars I am looking at and of course you can see the bike in my sig with the current 12". they are also cool, less pull back (6") and wider base (9.5") and they come ready in black

Thoughts of other bars ?

Oh OPP.. how much I love to hate you

Hey KLF, went through the same issues with my 12" Z-Bars. I was stopped for having a headlight out and was questioned about my bar height (12" bars w/2" risers). Opted for a change to a 8" Z-Bar, but wasn't happy with the feel. Then switched to 12" narrow apes (look just like the harley mini apes) and haven't been hassled since. Anyways, the 8" z-bars I have, look just like the pic you posted only the 7 1/2" dim is a true 8" the 12 1/2" is 14 1/2" and there is approx. 8 to 9" pullback. With the bars being 1 1/2" dia. they are 11" total width and line up with the fork tubes really nice, doesn't look funny at all. Can't remember the name of the bars I got, but I think they were in the Parts Canada catalogue. Rode with them maybe a hand full of times before i switched them out. If you interested or have any questions pm me. I'm in Burlington.

I have their 10" chubby bars. They make their 1" bars in an 8" version.

thanks man for the great pointer, yep, the 7.5" would be 9.5 when adding bar width, GREAT stuff. .. I am looking at the jammers now I wish I can find out who sells ethem.

CC seems to be out of stock .. and I want to find out if they are ready for internal wiring or not ? dimpling as well.

Buddy of mine had a chopped BSA in the early 80's with Z' bars. Went over the bars and did a number on his ribs. Just a thought.

I ran with the Road6 8" Z-bars before I switched my cables for apes. They are nice bars and were a lot more comfortable than the drag bars.

I have them for sale on the forum.

They do look exactly the way I pictured them, funny how you had the RAD II ness mirrors, I had them too great minds think alike.
I sent you a PM, I am still debating on the jammers, I sent a few suppliers emails to find out if they can be internally wired or not, I prefer the 8" pull back , really dramatic.
But I had no problems with the Older ROAD6 bars whatsoever, they look and run very good.

What did you end up going with for bars? Love the look of your bike with the bars you have, but being just east of you a few miles, certainly understand the hassles....we have some new cops locally that are targetting bars here as well....look forward to seeing the new version....your bike has had a huge impact on direction i took for the rebuild of my 94 over the winter....

Hey Neighbor ,
Thank you so much for the compliments.
I went with the same company that made my old ones, they improved them a bit, they make 8" which should make our boys in blue happy and I asked them to customize the bars to have some more pullback while get narrower o the top

Now let us hope they get them ready next week, and CAnada Post guys do not strike then we should be rolling in 3 weeks time ..

Sigh.. I liked my old bars
