Cheap, easy and effective fix for an annoying issue pick up a set anyway, if you don't use them you know someone who will.

I'm not affiliated in any way but I have helped a few buddies with their TC's and they do knock down the clatter considerably, can't fault what works.

Your WG still has the Twin Cam engine, and it's associated top end noise issues.

Rockouts are the worldwide proven cure

Rockouts took out most of the noise in my 16 wide glide. But be aware it will never be totally silent, it's an air cooler engine between your legs.

Thanks for the replies. I realize the motorcycle is mechanical and there will be noise.at what mileage does the rocker shaft noise typically begin.

Could be day 1, could be at 50k.... depends on a whole lot of variables at factory assembly.

i honestly don’t remember when mine started but I know it wasn’t long after I bought the bike. I’ve had a horrible noise in my top end (22k miles) and I suspect this is the issue. I ordered rockouts for mine and should be installing them tomorrow. They only come with 5 which is for the two bolt holes on each cylinder that the rocker shaft is against the bolt hole, plus a spare, but I bought two sets and am considering installing them in each hole. Either way I’ll post back and let you know the results.

Only 2 bolt holes per support plate intersect the Rocker Shaft Bores... (or if you prefer, 1 bolt hole per shaft bore intersects)
