So I'm looking at a 2003 Low Rider. It's pretty much unmolested. Stock air cleaner, pipes, carb. I had a 2003 Softail, so I know all about the cam tensioner wear. Any quirks I need to look at before I pull the trigger?
I have a 2003 Low Rider and it's pretty much a straight on bike. No issues at all. And there are tons of inspiration on the forum if you want to start modify it.
What colour?
100 year aniversery bike?
100th black and silver. Lots of chrome and 100th dodads. Lindy bar. Windshield. Im looking to put some leatherworks bags on it. My bar bike and a tour bike for the wife. She loves that 1200 sporty thou.
Last bike I had with a carb was a Ducati Monster in the 90s.
I havent had a Dyna yet. The garage is getting full. Its kinda a retirement gift to myself. I was looking for a clean old shovel or Evo and ran into this. I retiring at the end of the year.
My 2003 LR anniversary is the blue color. I've added a Dead Center Cycles batwing complete with inner fairing, stereo, amp and 6x9 speakers. I also added Viking hard bags. Great bike.
I have a 2003 Low Rider also that I got with 6300 miles on it. almost 13k now and only 2 issues. Rear mounting bracket for aftermarket exhaust broke and cracked the heat shields because they were a one piece shield. and I am chasing an oil drip. Checked transmission fluid and it isn't even on the dipstick so I know what it is just not where it comes from. more research to come.
I saw an 03 low rider for sale about 2.5 hours away with 14,000 miles and pretty much pure stock it looks like. has windshield, saddle bags and sissy bar. they are asking $6500.
